Dean of Higher Education and Higher Skills - LTE Group, Manchester – Circa £80,000 + benefits

LTE group is the first integrated education and skills group of its kind in the UK and the largest social enterprise in the country dedicated to learning, training and employment. The Group employs 5,000 people and provides education, training and employment opportunities to over 100,000 learners. The Group is made up of specialist organisations - The Manchester College (further and higher education), Novus (offender learning), MOL and Total People - all with a shared mission and values.

We are seeking to appoint a Dean of Higher Education & Higher Skills to sit across The Manchester College business, who will provide the strategic leadership and curriculum expertise to deliver an outstanding student experience. They will lead an experienced team of professionals and generate an academic culture that blends education, research and professional practice in line with customer needs to ensure the College meets recruitment targets and maximises student progression.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable evidence of successful leadership in a HE or higher level skills-based environment and have the presence to shape the department strategy in line with changing government policy. Importantly, they must be innovative in their thinking capacity, build relationships with consummate ease and have the tenacity to succeed in a constantly evolving and progressive Group structure. Adding to this they must have the intellectual capacity to inform decision making and work as part of a leadership team that will shape the future of the Group.
