It is a place of outstanding national and international importance that demands coherent, considered and effective leadership in administration and governance.

Reporting to the Dean and Chapter, you will take responsibility for all operational aspects of Abbey life, from visitor services, finance, fund-raising, estate management, events and HR, through to ensuring the security and safety of all staff, volunteers and visitors within the Abbey and its precincts. This role will be strategic in character, managing relations with the Royal Household and Whitehall, giving direction to the Abbey’s commercial activities and supporting Abbey advisory committees whilst serving the Dean and Chapter, the Abbey’s governing body, and upholding the values of the Abbey.

You will have a proven record of strategic leadership at the highest levels of British life as a public servant or commercial/charitable leader.
